What a clever idea to take the seven deadly sins and turn each of them into a short story! Every one of them is a study in excellent writing. I enjoyed the different author voices. Each of them had a unique vision of their “sin”, and each story hit a different way. Sarah C. Brody made the reader feel the desire between the two characters in the first story, Lust. Kay Parquet’s character broke my heart as she sank into her addictive behavior in Gluttony. Melissa Power made me laugh (ending) and feel the hatred for the enemy in their story about Greed. The Sloth story made me laugh out loud. How clever of Nichole Ford Thomas! I felt the power of envy in “The Leviathan Machine.” The self-destruction and betrayal in Jayce Maxwell’s story hit hard. Kyle Thomas’s story, “Inferno” shows us an apocalyptic battle in a world where treachery is waiting around the corner. Jodee Jean Daniels took on Pride, and paints a dystopian future that made me uneasy. So many great details in this story.

What a creative idea to have each sin be the focus of the story. It's hard to choose a favorite as each story kept me wanting to turn the page and read more. My favorite was amplified by Sarah C Brody which showcased lust in a way I hadn’t thought of before. All of the entries were creative and imaginative.
