They had forever. Until they didn’t.
Stella's magic is still a hot mess, but she has Gideon Heimdall—her Viking, her mate, her forever. They're building something real. Their mating bond thrums between them, vibrant and whole. They're happy. She's happy.
Until dark magic rips every memory of her from his mind.
One moment, they're planning the future. The next, Gideon disappears into the portals. Their bond—a once lush vine, brimming with blood-red poppies—withers, the flowers dying one by one.
He reemerges weeks later, looking at Stella like she's a stranger. And he didn't come back alone.
Now Stella's fighting to hold on to a mate who can't remember why he chose her. Gideon's torn between the fractured bond pulling him closer and the fear that remembering will destroy everything. He retreats to what he thinks is safe, leaving Stella alone, grasping at what's left between them.
But forgetting isn't the only danger. Someone's hiding secrets, and while Gideon and Stella bleed from their broken bond, their enemies strike.
Their bond is shattered. Their enemies are circling. But a love like theirs burns too bright to fade—even when he's forgotten her.

Bottom line: This is contemporary romantic fantasy at its best. The angst is delicious, the world-building is solid, the romance both filled and broke my heart, and that ending has me pacing while we wait for the next book. In fact, I can’t wait to do a reread!

The emotional pull of this book is intense—it’s one of those stories that stays with you long after you’ve finished the last page. Brody captures love, pain, and forgiveness in a way that feels raw and honest.
